GCRN is the association of Community Radio stations in Ghana who walk the philosophy and practice of participatory Community Radio with devotion and passion.

Currently, GCRN has 19 members on air. They can be found in 8 out of the 10 Regions of Ghana and use 16 indigenous languages. In addition, there are 12 community initiatives.

GCRN counts 12 Community Radio initiatives. These are initiatives that are awaiting their frequencies. Once they get on-air, the remaining two Regions would have at least one Community Radio station.

About GCRN

GCRN is the Association of community radio stations in Ghana who walk the philosophy and practise with devotion and passion. Currently, there are 19 members on air. They can be found in 8 out of the 10 regions of Ghana and use 16 indigenous languages. In addition, there are 13 community initiatives. An elected 5-member Executive Council led by the Chairperson runs the Association for a 2-year term. The Association’s Office located at East Legon Accra coordinates and administers the day-to-day affairs of members.
